Introduction:

THF Is an important organic synthetic raw material and solvent with excellent properties, especially suitable for dissolving PVC, polyvinylidene chloride and butylaniline. It is widely used as solvent for surface coating, anticorrosive coating, printing ink, magnetic tape and film coating, it can be used as reaction solvent to control the thickness and brightness of aluminum layer in electroplating aluminum bath. THF itself polycondensates (Cationic initiated ring-opening repolymerization) into polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) , also known as Oxolane polyether.

Handling and Storage recommendations：

Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Store in a cool place in the original container and protect from sunlight. Keep under a nitrogen blanket. Keep from contact with oxidizing materials. Flammables-area. Store protected from moisture. Containers should be dated when opened and tested periodically for the presence of peroxides. Should crystals form in a peroxidizable liquid, peroxidation may have occurred and the product should be considered extremely dangerous. In this instance, the container should only be opened remotely by professionals. All peroxidizable substances should be stored away from heat and light and be protected from ignition sources.
